Description
This crystal clear locking thermostat guard is not ordinary plastic or acrylic, but polycarbonate (the same material used in many eyeglass lenses). Polycarbonate offers physical protection because it is highly break-resistant. Thus, it is an excellent choice not only to help protect thermostats from unauthorized temperature adjustment, but from vandalism and accidental damage as well.

Thermostat protector has open back with hinged frame; vented to allow proper air circulation. Key lock (orders for multiple units are supplied keyed alike). Includes mounting hardware.

  • Holes in the frame allow air to circulate freely.
  • Inner wall prevents tampering with dials and levers.
  • Easy and quick installation.
  • Cover is molded of clear polycarbonate. Also available is smoke (see STI-9105-S).
  • Two spacers, in clear, available for surface mounted applications.
  • All thermostat covers have a key lock assembly.
  • Three year guarantee against breakage of polycarbonate in normal use.
  • Cover is UV-stabilized.
  • Molded of clear, 1/8" thick, heavy-duty polycarbonate.
  • Typical working properties of polycarbonate are -40° to 250°F (-40° to 121°C).
  • Smaller cover (186-09100) and larger cover (186-09110) available.
